Only moments ago, top UK clan Four Kings Intel managed to fight off *aAa* in the Clanbase Eurocup. On a roll from their previous victory versus mouz, 4K managed to pull off yet another impressive victory.
  • 4K Intel lineup: Wr!ght - Mangiacapra - Luck1ng - Xenon - Darth/Harriman (1 map each)
  • *aAa* lineup: maarek - Hourdeau - Emkill - r0nan - ElTiozo/kyo (1 map each)

So 2 out of 2 for 4K, their next match will be against ONE's first opponents TeG, the date is yet to be confirmed. Don't forget ONE will be playing their game versus TeG tomorrow night.

"A wildcarded game that prediction-wise has changed in my mind, aAa haven't been as impressive as I expected this season, especially with so many French LANs coming up soon. I expected them to be raping faces to use an American term. 4Kings on the other hand have performed at a higher level than I expected, their close win over mouz has certainly fuelled UK hopes that a UK team could get out of group play for the first time in Eurocup history. I think a lot has to do with both the improved connections of the UK team, they now only have 2 players using isdn and also that mouz weren't as on fire as some expected. After the TeG destruction I thought mouz would come in with the engine already running so to speak. All credit to 4K though since despite Johnny R not playing mouz's other players are hardly pushovers. I expect 4K to take this game, I hope not by too much, but then who knows what is going with aAa nowadays.

aAa lost last week in what was to me a shocking result. Perhaps the French elite are more out of shape than I imagined. Regardless I still think they will take down 4kings. 4K didn't play last week due to mouz's use of their wildcard which means they aren't going to be running on all cylinders from round 1. Add to that the fact they have never been a team to play as well online as on LAN and I'm fairly sure aAa can take this game if they keep their heads down.
