Asus claim cheater drivers are "innovative"

Asus haved claimed that the cheat drivers that let you see through walls etc... are "innovative" and "hopes to advance the gaming world with this newer technology".

In a new page on their site, they have posted some screenshots of the drivers in use, and given some reasons why they are releasing them.

Benefits of SeeThrough Technologies:

  • To help novice players to have a faster learning curve in playing 3D games
  • To let skilled players to have a chance to test their skills with a new challenge
  • To help users become familiar with 3D graphics rendering
  • To save the time of developers for developing and fixing 3D graphics

They have even got the nerve to put a poll up, to let you vote.

The constructive criticism ASUS has received so far has been greatly appreciated. Some concerns voiced by the gaming community are that there may be amateur gamers that may take advantage of this feature to get higher standings in gaming tournaments since the features may not restricted to a person's machine or to one player games. ASUS hopes that this can be an opportunity to work together with game developers to utilize the technology created and enable this technology to be beneficial to the overall gaming community.

This company obviously doesn't understand the gaming community, and I am certainly going to boycott their products, and I'm sure many other gamers will do the same. This has definately backfired for Asus.
