Few of those reading this can claim to have never heard of Everglide. Aside from the logo smack-bang in the centre of our homepage, they have flourished in the UK by offering a variety of high-precision mouse surfaces. How many of you though will know that there is just one man behind Everglide in the UK, meet Tudor. Tudor has been involved with a variety of gaming organisations including Jolt.co.uk and follows the gaming scene extensively.
Here's a snippet:
Have Everglide ever been tempted to create their own 'Team-Everglide' with full financial backing? No, in fact it concerns me that the gaming scene may be about to be split by the large amount of financial support offered to a small number of clans in return for exclusively promoting a manufacturer. I would prefer to see the money go into organising and promoting a UK gaming scene that was open to as wide a number of participants as possible. I have no desire to see a ‘premier league’ created, when a clan can practice fulltime with no other commitments there is no longer a level playing field. I believe the community has some important decisions to make regarding this as I see increasing friction between professionals and amateurs.
