The CPL Holland seedings are up, in preparation for the tournament this weekend. It's looking to be an interesting contest, with [a] (Apostrophe, a Finnish clan), seeded first. The highest UK based clan is CSA at 13th, followed by m4 (15th), and 4K (16th).It is worth noting that the rules for this tournament are slightly different from your bog-standard CS game, with the main change being 4 minute rounds, as opposed to 5, and only 5 people per team.
The winner is determined by the number of rounds won of the attacking team so only Terrorist-Wins are counted - In the incident of a tie, two 3-round games will be played for an overtime. The same procedure is done again in case rounds are the same again.
- Match - Each team playing a half match as Counter-Terrorists and the other
half as Terrorists.- Half - One 30 minute map session. 2 halves equal a Match.
- Round - One 4-minute cycle on a map.
They also have strict rules on the use of 'kill' because of the rushing based scoring system.
The use of the 'kill' command is not allowed during wars unless utilized to compensate the loss of a teammember of the opponents (which will be considered as fair play).
The 'kill' command is sometimes used to get as many rounds in as possible, to gain the advantage by the attacking team.
I'm looking forward to the tourney, which should hopefully show the best in Europe. We'll keep you updated with the latest from the event, as ever.
