Clanbase UK/IE Cup

The latest results and fixtures from the Clanbase UK/IE Cup.
The Cup reached the final week (fire/inferno) of the group stages, in which 32 clans are divided into eight groups of four clans each, with only the top two going through to the single elimination playoffs.

Latest results:

  • zebras vs. RemOte.uK (Group D, mill/dust2) no show RemOte (25-0)
  • Five Miracles/GDO vs. Snipers Alley (Group F, mill/dust2) no show SA (25-0)
  • [F]orgotten vs. disturbed (Group B, fire/inferno) wildcarded by [F]
  • intrigue vs. Black Death Warriors (Group E, mill/dust2) 27-21 report int - bdw
  • ForsakeN vs. enamor (Group C, mill/dust2) 15-33 demos ForsakeN - enamor
  • team-SoliD vs. mono (Group F, mill/dust2) 28-20 demos team-SoliD - mono
  • SCEE vs. section7 (Group G, mill/dust2) no show section7
zebras qualified itself for the playoffs as no.1 in their group.
intrigue puts themselves back in the race with fcc and bdw for the no.2 spot in their group behind 2s2p.

By beating mono, SoliD holds on to their last chance to qualify in their last match Vs. SA Sunday.

section7 was dropped as they no longer participate in online competitions because of the stress involved. section7 told us they would try their best still to show up for their last two fixtures, however couldnt field a lineup monday, so we decided it might be better not to worry them with their last fixture vs. dreaM!.

Wednesday's fixtures:

  • 8pm, thkillerz vs. reSonance (Group A, mill/dust2)
  • 8.30pm, BLACKLiGHT vs. MonkeyMagic (Group H, fire/inferno)
  • 9pm, Veterans vs. suiGeneris (Group A, mill/dust2)
  • 9pm, mono vs. mrc.GDO (Group F, fire/inferno)
We will know a lot more about the standings in Group A after tonight. Blacklight and MonkeyMagic both won their first two matches and now fight for the no.1 spot in their group. Both mono and mrc.GDO haven't ensured a 1/8th-finals spot yet, and this is their last chance to do so.

Thursday's fixtures:

  • 9pm, enamor vs. Synergy Online (Group C, fire/inferno)
  • 9pm, Choke vs. SCEE (Group G, fire/inferno)
Synergy has to beat enamor to still have a chance, SCEE is in exactly the same situation. Choke and enamor have to prove their favourite role here, and have enough on a draw to qualify.

That would be three teams played two matches, won 1, lost 1, and yet that would result in a three-clan tie which would be decided on round difference. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Choke 30/18 = +12
dreaM! 43/47 = -4
SCEE 17/25 = -8

This means SCEE needs a +4 round result (26-22) to get equal with dreaM!, a +5 to ensure qualification (27-21), which would knock out dreaM!, and a +9 (29-19) to knock out Choke instead of dreaM! [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

and people wonder why the uk cs scene is so s*** compared to everywhere else

the reason why the UK is so s*** compared to other countrys is that you have c**ks like 50% of the people who refresh the UKT page every 5 mins (not mentioning any names) and then flame the f*** out of anything that anyone has said

also when uve got 3 leagues running at once and in all of them its 3 (situation we are in) game u have to setup with the days that players are online, which may not be 7 days a week as Zorro said, then u have to make sure u can get a team together for that date, pcw on the map that the leagues are in where as its so much simpler to just get a pcw when players are online. so it is quite the stressful thing really [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

and ive run a league myself a while ago and its FAR more stressful than trying to get your team online, and frankly if people can't put their own bit of effort in to match just a tiny percentage of zorro's obviously hard work then i think they're c***s.

if people can't make the effort to play in a tourney for their clan then they shouldn't be playing for the clan, OR the clan shouldn't have entered the cup. it wouldn't be quite so bad if the clans that fold/die could even have the decency to let people know they're leaving the competition. kids today are generally spoilt, lazy little t**ts and it'll take one mighty good argument to convince me any different.
