Today I am pleased to announce the UKT X event to be held on Thursday 4th September at Sheperd's Bush, London. This event will be held the day before the UK World Cyber Games Finals on the same computers for the UK WCG Counter-Strike competition.

The cost per player will be £20, but for that you get to use (and stay on) the same computer from 9:30am to 6:00pm, even if your team is eliminated from the competition. We hope that this makes UKT X a prime opportunity for teams wishing to practice before the next days games.

The competition itself will be a 12 team double elimination tournament with the top team winning points towards the UKT Primary Strike 2003 Finals but also an invite to the WCG party that night where plenty of food and beverages will be available.

Due to the limited number of places for this competition we have to restrict entrances to teams that have qualified for the UK World Cyber Games already or one of the 6 teams (FCC, SCEE, N@S, SODA, Pro-Gamer and one more i've forgotten) that were denied entry with short notice to the last event.

This limits entrances to the following: FCC, Scee, soda, pr0, 4K, ONE, omg!, Puk-kai, tds, UniCon.cs, Squeex, OnlineSports, O:i, 2s2p, LC, H^X, disturbed, shin0bi, uk.lpool, Torment, 4k.l, reSonance, harmless, Infinity-eSports.

All teams competing in this event will be expected to be there by 9:30am at the latest.

If your team is listed above and would like to attend then e-mail me at richard@iguk.org with your clan name and player list and why your team should have one of the 12 available places.

The WCG UK opening party is mainly for the press and partners. There will be free food and drink not to mention the MAIN WCG drawing ceremoney which was held in China last year. This means that a lot of admins and press will be flying in from Korea to cover this.
