E-Sports Entertainment Association Opens Its Doors

Posted by Dev at 01:26 19/8/2003.

E-Sports Entertainment Association has been launched. The company seems to be a cross between a web shop and an eSports-Pro type organisation at the moment aiming to provide clans and players alike the tools to become ‘pro gamers’. Here is a little quote from their mission statement:

E-Sports Entertainment Association is an organisation dedicated to professionalising E-Sports through strategic partnerships with individual players, teams, and companies. We will soon open our doors to a highly selective Pro Shop where you can purchase your favourite gaming equipment, team management services, and other products that will help lay the infrastructure of professional gaming and become the hub for gaming resources.

The website is also offering a 'tuition' scheme for clans and individual players. For $25 an hour you can have 3D's Rambo explain how to use the AK or rdw's destrukt teach you how to exploit the buy system. The group tuition which carries a higher hourly rate allows teams to get aid on positioning and tactics from some of Americas finest players. For more information as well as prices take a gander at the website.

Another good step for the VS/ES community. A lesson looks 'interesting'. For $5 cant go wrong when you have nothing better to spend your money on (Already got SK Insider) [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

I suppose it was only a small step from gamers.nu 'ask heaton' and SK insider to actually paying for a lesson from the 'pro' gamers.
It just seems funny to actually pay someone to help you get better, I guess that it might be helpful for clans with regards to strats etc, surely it's nothing that can't be learned from watching other clans through demo's.
Seems like just another way of making money from gullible gamers who just wanna 'play hard, go pro', except without all the time and dedication.
But if they can make something from gaming, why not, a lot of other people are. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

if you're a retard who can't aim for s*** and has the reactions of a dead turtle then paying $25 an hour for a pro-tutorial ain't gonna do any good for jack "yeehaw" wannabepro...

however i'm sure the positioning and tactics you can get out of this is useful, if you want to spend the money.

how do you actually fire the ak? [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

tbh if a golfer wants to become a pro he takes lessons why not a gamer? these guys are clearly well beyond normal folk's skill level and have extreme knowledge of the game so anyone getting a lesson would benefit greatly.

I think these lessons are quite well priced not to expensive and they offer quite alot and lets face it if you were them you would do it also.

These lessons i think are for the seriously dedicated and not for the part time / online players the lessons are pointless unless your serious about lanning. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Aim for the head, keep moving to avoid getting hit. Take 1/2/3 shot bursts or spray and learn to control it from certain distances depending.

Once you learn to shoot, basic cop on and how to read the game you develop your own style of play, you cant use other peoples styles because you will never match it to perfection. Play your own game, and play with people you are comfortable with.

And thats "how" for now! Children, stop being a retarded sheep.

Cant compare cs lessons to golf lessons, with golf you cant watch in eye demoes and watch the control of the crosshair etc. Watching an ak fire from a side on view isn't exactly helpful =] [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
