CPL Copenhagen Date Changes

The CPL have changed the date for the 35,000 Euro Copenhagen event. Here is the press release:

The CPL Europe Fall 2003 (Copenhagen) and WCG Europe 2003 event were about to be executed at the same time in two different locations in Europe. After negotiations between CPL Europe/ESX and WCG both parties came to the conclusion that the community and players would have a significant disadvantage with two major events being held at the same time.

As the WCG needs to execute their European event prior to the Grand Finale in Korea, CPL Europe/ESX has agreed to postpone their event to a later date to not harm the WCG and finally giving competitors the chance to attend both events.

WCG acknowledges CPL Europe/ESX decision in regards to their willingness to move the event. This is the best solution for both parties, and hopefully the community will appreciate this decision, even though it is a major disappointment to see the Danish event being move for the second time, both for the Scandinavian scene looking forward to a local LAN event, and for the organisers of the event.

However, both CPL Europe and ESX are taking the rescheduling as an opportunity to use the additional time on improving the tournament and making the event the best ever in Europe.

The CPL Europe/ESX tournament will commence from the 12th to the 16th of November 2003.
