Bits & Bobs Half-Life 2 Style

- Marc Laidlaw is a name I bet most of you aren’t familiar with, well you should be as this little bald headed man is one of the head writers for VALVe and has worked on Half-Life 2. Gamasutra have conducted one hell of a huge interview with him. To read the interview you have to be a member.
- Halflife.org have churned out an editorial about the Half-Life 2 ‘delay saga’. It has been edited massively since the first version was put up on the website. (I have no idea why). Titled too many hands in the cookie jar… the article focuses on 3 main arguments as to why VALVe will or will not deliver Half-Life 2 on time.
- 60 more Half-Life 2 screenshots have been uploaded to the PHL Half-Life 2 screenshots page. Most have been taken from the recent E3 movie releases.
- Gabe Newell has been a busy man, once again giving an ‘exclusive’ interview this time to an Italian gaming website. Most information like the official release date of Half-Life 2 he kept under his hat but it is still worth a read.
- Finally and arguably the most exciting HL2 titbit to be announced over the past few days is the news that Half-Life 2 will be shown at the ECTS in London from the 27th – 29th August 2003. Vivendi Universal Games UK has teamed up with VALVe to preview Half-Life 2 for the first time in Europe at the ECTS. Although it will probably E3 all over again i.e. the same material, there are rumours some new bits will make appearances! Either way it should be good. Vivendi UK Marketing Director, George Georgiou had this to say:
Half-Life 2 is by far the most anticipated PC game this year, highlighted by its incredible reception at E3. For Valve to choose ECTS to premiere the game in Europe is a huge honour for VUG UK

However what is more inexcusable is the "Team Fortress Classic 2" he mentions, it's Team Fortress 2. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Exactly what happened with QW:TF and TFC. TF had a huge following and then when tfc came out it ruined the entire game. A completely different feel and ppl just decided that TF was dead. I think this could happen to CS if its handled badly... [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
