Barrysworld have announced the clans that will be participating in the WCG online qualifier. From the teams listed 8 will get a spot in the final which takes place at Shepherds Bush later in the year. Some of the big teams included are 4K.Ladies, OMG!, Lastchance, theb0g and id0t. For the full list click here. The seedings and the draw will be announced later this week.
Barrysworld also announced today the prizes for season 8 of its Counter-Strike leagues. Here they are in full.
VALVe's Doug Lombardi has been dishing out the interviews again, this time to Boomtown. The 8 minute long interview is a video interview which also contains some in game footage from Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
German print mag Gamestar has reported that the new Radeon 9900 pro will come bundled with Half-Life 2. Most sources however believe this will be a preview or some kind of teaser with lots of E3 footage. VALVe and Vivendi are yet to comment.
Jolt have done their own CS:CZ preview for you all to read with delight. The review is quite critical of the games single player mode.
ESReality Uncut @ the ESWC is a 22 minute long movie from the ESWC. The CS section is quite decent and contains footage of zEx, Myers, Xeqtr and 4K^Harriman. As well as all that it contains interviews with Fatal1ty and SK|aNouC but to name a couple of people. It is well worth the download even though it is a hefty sized one.
Counter-Strike, the greatest online tactical shooter ever? GameSpot seem to think so and have produced an article about it. Give it a little read.
Codename: Gordon now has its own website. The little sidescroller game that is inspired by Half-Life 2 looks quite neat. The site also has some new screenshots and a preview movie from the 2D game.

	Nighty 15:20 5/8/2003	not quite sure how its gonna work. on the site it says it will be a seeded single elimination tournament which is fine but with 37 clans signed up how exactly do you get to 8 winners. Surely you need to start with 32 clans so after the 1st round of games you are left with 16 and then left with the final 8 after the 2nd round of games. Plus maybe double elim or a league format would be better? i dunno i guess there isnt much time so they have to use just a single elim system.
