Choke Win SavLAN 10

Over the weekend the savage cup semi finals and finals were being played out at the quite popular SavLAN event. The 10th event played host to Choke, ui, O:i and Void. Here are the results and final placings:

Ok after all the various rumours going around I have managed to get the 'official' word from one of the Savage employees. He sends word that ui left after they lost to Choke on de_dust2 so O:i got a default win against them meaining they played Choke in the final which was also on de_dust2. He also said that due to the various clan drop outs it didn't go as planned. The final placings then are: 1st - Choke, 2nd - O:i, 3rd - ui, 4th - void.

I agree we shoulda stayed and seen out the tourney, but it was a long day and after we lost and thought we couldnt win the gfx cards we decided to get home. 15:23 4/8/2003		 Nighty - all the organisation was done on the savlan intranet. All the fixtures were there and everyone knew about it, even Void who werent supposed to be in the cup in the first place.

It clearly said 6 match league and then a final with the top two. I've never seen anyone pack up and leave so quickly in my life.

O:i.mix wasn't anymore of a mix than our team tbh. We had a merc too :)

Was a nice tournament in the end, after our dodgy switch got fixed during our lagovision vs uninspired the reg was nice. Admins were friendly and helpful too and O:i are a bunch of really sound blokes. Didn't see much of void as they were over the other side of the hall, but they were friendly as ever. 16:02 4/8/2003		 well there was lots of instances, but the one that sticks out was Puneet saying "You cant AWP in this lag, Son" just after he had gotten 14 - 1 as CT with nothing BUT an AWP. Not to mention the fact that it was our switch causing the problems making us freeze every other second. Personally I find that arrogant.

I also remember SiN, to his credit, telling one of your players to shut up because he was going over the top. Maybe it's just your dry sense of humour, but I wasn't finding it funny at the time. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

I think you'll find your chattin s***, we no we've gone massively downhill, we don't dispute that :) we just play for fun and rely on the some skill we have left, not the hours of dedication some put in. TeppuM left 'cos he was always manipulating his way into omg!

KaM joined jet because he wanted to play CS, and we obviously don't do that. (TeppuM leaving influenced that imo)

Fred left because KaM left and he's his best buddy and wanted to play with him, then failed lc trial and wanted to come back. f*** that, if some1 gonna leave for such a lame excuse then noway back imo.

Keldon then left because of inactivity and no leets left, plus the TG offer prolly intrigued him. Gl to him anyways as he was pushed back when we had a full team and stuck around so np.

Leaving us with me, malds, pathfinder, KK + the old skool SCEE lads.
