Just a quick update for those who like to know where players end up, and there have been some major changes happening in mainland Europe over the past few days.
Firstly, SK.de look set to return to the mainstream after picking up virus and ONImaru from the recent split of xPerience.de. Time will tell whether they can return to the same level they were used to competing at.
Secondly, after an unsuccessful ESWC, mTw.se say goodbye to Hyper and long standing member Magix decides to take a break. No-one knows whether this is due to the poor performance recently but mTw have wasted no time in bringing in replacements. These 2 players are none other than ex-eoL players Knoxville and Naikon, who has left zX9 (another unsuccessful team at ESWC) to join up with the already outstanding line-up at mTw.se. I caught up with mTw|h0n1g to get a few words on the matter.
Protex: Team-mTw states that talks took place during the ESWC, did you approach them, and was this after the unsuccessful attempt of mTw.se to progress in the ESWC?mTw|h0n1g: No, the approach had nothing to do with the result at ESWC. Even if we would have placed Top-5, which our goal was, we would have talked to them.
Protex: After "stealing" 2 of the top players in Norway, how do you think this will affect the Norwegian scene, and will they be staying in Sweden to train with you for the upcoming events?
mTw|h0n1g: I myself see the whole scene a bit different. I don't see a strict segregation between the norwegian and swedish scene. I see more a scandinavian scene. So i think its gonna be good for everybody :)
Protex: How do you think this will affect your performance in the upcoming CPL Qualifier in Spain, with little time to practice and prepare with your new team do you still feel you can make it successful?
mTw|h0n1g: I think it will be a big step forward for us. Especially because of all the tournament experience that comes in with these two players. And since we'll be bootcamping from saturday till CPL Qualifier, i think we can get some stuff going, yes.
zX9 could also be struggling now after the recent announcement by mTw.swe and having 2 players leave a few days ago. slicky and P1mp0 have parted ways with the team after disappointment of not being selected for the starting 5. Now with the departure of Naikon they are left with a 4 man squad.
Further to this Swedish team Gamepoint.dopefish have "removed" cyphoner and have put it down to his lack of motivation for the team.
So there we go, a number of changes in the Euro scene, with the additions to mTw.se could we see a shift of power at the top, and will zX9 be able to replace Naikon in time for the Summer season, only time will tell people, so keep tuned in.

I think this is the perfect time for cyphoner to leave the Cs scene which he has always talked about.
