CXG have announced details of their much anticipated $600,000 multi gaming LAN tournament. The tournament that will take place in January of 2004 will host Counter-Strike, RTCW, UT2K3, AA and WC3 tournaments. There is a massive £100,000 first place prize in the Counter-Strike tournament. The event takes place between the 2nd and 4th of January in Orlando, Florida. A press release which was circulated yesterday expanded on plans for the event as well as listing the 14 corporate partners that will sponsor the event in some form or another, these companies are: Universal Studios, Marriott Resorts and Hotels, Raddison Orlando, Americas Army, TeamWarfare.com, United Gaming Syndicate, CyberNet Cafe, Team X Zone, ATA Airlines, ThinkGeek, Super Computer Inc, Ecase Products and X-Treme Radio. As well as this it was announced that gotFrag? will have ongoing event on-line news and coverage.

For us European people there will be 30 online qualifiers for the event (details still to be announced). At the moment there are no plans for a LAN qualifier in Europe of any kind. Expect more details in the coming weeks.

As he said, there wasn't one as an incentive to sign up and he didnt sign up to win a prize he signed up to PWN 1V1 AIM_MAP and get a little trophy next to his ukt account name.
