Heaps of news snippets to update you on, so I best get started...

• First off, there has been re-shuffle of staff over at Schroet Kommando HQ. The changes see SK.swe manager bds promoted to joint-leader along with Burke and Slash. Here's what Burke has to say:

  Around 2 years ago bds joined SK with Geekboys and has been a great help from the start not only for SK but for the whole community with his various projects. In the last month he took over more and more responsibilities and became a irrecoverable part of SK. Therefore he was asked recently to step up as Leader of SK together with Burke and Slash and accepted happily.

• A few days ago, the popular communications tool, TeamSpeak, was updated to version 2.0.29.47. The new release contains many new features, as well as a few bug-fixes. Download links can be found here.
• If you have managed to get the new 1.6 BETA update, you may have had a little play about with the new official bots included in the update. So you could now be wondering how to set up the damn things, well look no further than CSCentral who have posted a load of Bot Commands for you to play about with.
• A new organisation has been announced which will attempt to act as a governing body for the whole e-sports community. Global Gaming League (GGL) is set to be launched this Summer. Here's a snippet from the press release:

  This summer brings the arrival of the Global Gaming League™ (GGL™) to serve an age-old ideal of sports by building the proper infrastructure for professional competition through our brand of video gaming, known as “V-Sports™.” The GGL™ is an unbiased governing body formed to build the nucleus for the sport of professional video gaming (“V-Sports™”) through the organization and management of video gaming competitions and active promotion of its best players.

  Looks like a very professional set-up and many pro gamers have been calling for something like this in the past, so let's hope it all goes to plan.
• The members of 2s2p have got back together after a short break, with the ex-leader Bodkin returning from uni. They will be attending most major UK LANs, including the upcoming CPL WCG events and the next few instalments of the i-series. Good luck!
• A new league has sprung up in the shape of Lifeline Counter-Strike League. I'm told the season will run for seven weeks with eight clan's per division. They are now accepting signups, so go give their website a glance and checkout their IRC Channel.
• Finally, as my fingers wear down to the bone, international E-Sports site, gotFrag, have produced yet another article. It's entitled 'Why is CS fun?' and, as you may have guessed, covers all the aspects of our great game which make it so much fun.

  If you are reading this article right now, you probably play CS competitively. And if you play CS competitively, you have probably, at some point, owned someone in a scrim. And if you have owned someone in a scrim, you have probably been accused of not having a life, and of spending all your time on CS. Well, obviously you don’t have a life, but the question is: do you really spend all your time on CS?
