GameJunkies Tournament 2003

GameJunkies have announced plans to run a LAN tournament later this year from August 1st to August 3rd at the Birmingham NEC. The 16 team tournament is sponsored by #Landed and #eSolutions and promises to be quite a decent event.

My understanding is that 32 teams will compeate in an online qualifier with 16 teams progressing into the LAN finals. Expect more information to follow but if you have any questions or anything check out #GameJunkies on Quakenet or alternatively you can visit the GameJunkies website.

I don't know what their aims are for this tournament but if you are trying to plan a decent sized tournament with good prizes you need to set yourself out a budget and sponsors before you announce it and get organised. Have a look at all the CPL events etc. There is a reason they announce the prize kitty at the same time because they have done there work before hand and got the sponsors... 	ant 15:43 2/5/2003	Reason i have annouced this now is because we thought it might take a while to get 32 clans signed up and payed for this competition. We have quite a few sponsors sorted and some kick ass prizes with more to come. I will tell you about them shortly when i have confirmed the date at the NEC and the new GameJunkies site designed by Pyroux is launched.
