Counter-Point, Project Smiley, VAC Update, mouz

Just a few bits going on in our wonderful community that you may find interesting.
- First off, CS-Nation has launched their latest feature, entitled 'Counter-Point'. It's basically where two guys just share their views on current issues in the world of Counter-Strike. The first issue on their list is the recent article on gamespy, 'Why Pro-Gaming Sucks'. I know from the comments that there were some varied views on this article, so some of you may find this pretty interesting.
- Project Smiley have released about 5 issues of their popular comedic stab at gaming since we last reported on them. Their latest edition (issue 8) contains the headlines: Man Injured Again After Walking Away From Computer With Headphones Still On and Grand Theft Auto: The Musical. Just bear in mind, IT'S NOT REAL.
- Probably the most effective anti-cheat out there, VAC, has been updated once again. The modules will be installed automatically, so just sit back and relax while all those dirty cheats are wiped out.
- Breaking away from the community news and returning your attention to euro clan news once again, top German outfit, mouz, have announced that they will not be attending ClickArena. Judging by a very poor google translation, they are not attending because they don't feel they are as well prepared as they should be. Probably just as well, as only 1% of you seem to think they will be successful.
...and relax.

We've updated the public security modules again. The new security modules
have some technical improvements and optimizations. We've also tried to
address the problems that players using WineX were having with the previous
release.
Your Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat servers should update themselves
automatically. Let me know if you have any problems with these security
modules and we'll look into them right away.
Thanks.

Valve are fighting a losing battle, the hackers are a lot more talented than the anti hackers.
I say f*** CS off and make CS2 with a new harder to hack engine. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
