VGA Becomes iGames UK

Today Sujoy Roy announced that the VGA would be renaming themselves to iGames UK. Here's the statement:

Today, the Virtual Gaming Alliance have renamed their gaming centre brand to 'iGames UK' as part of our ongoing partnership with iGames worldwide. The website has been rebranded to reflect this change and all other uses of 'VGA' will be eventually phased out.

Mark Nielson, Executive Director of iGames USA, commented "By working together, we will be able to accomplish much more, much sooner. iGames was founded to support the game centre industry and will continue to do so over the years. It has been a pleasure discussing the issues surrounding the game center industry over the last year with Dominic and Sujoy and look forward to working with all of you."

Dominic Mulroy, Co-Founder of the UK alliance, commented "iGames UK is still an independent alliance of our countries best gaming centres and we will continue to support LAN gaming in the UK. Our relationship with iGames means that we can take this support up to another level and discuss relationships and issues on a global level. UK gaming centres will be able to take advantage of such an important alliance, the first of which will be announced early next week."
