Eurocup & Opencup - UK Update

With the two major Clanbase cups slowly coming to the end of the group stages, here's a small roundup on what's happening with each clan at the moment:

Eurocup

• 4Kings Intel: Three wins out of three so far. 4kings Intel look certain to qualify should they win their next two games at least, they may qualify if they win their next game vs. ONE should other results go their way. Most people would expect 4K to win their fixtures with ONE, the Spanish outfit DkS (only in the Eurocup due to bbigg pulling out) and A-Laget.de, perhaps only the a-Losers fixture will cause them any trouble. But to put it bluntly, 4K should start planning for the next phase.
• ONE: ONE's first seasons in the Eurocup has encountered a shaky start. Their narrow win over TeG early on gave them a good start, but the power of a-Losers and mousesports was too much to handle. ONE have fixtures with 4K, aAa, DkS and A-Laget.de remaining, there's a slim possibility they could still qualify but if you're being sensible most would believe ONE are playing for pride now.

• omg!: omg! have started well, winning their first 2 games against o8s and TiTiReT. Last night nine wildcarded the fixture after initial server disagreements. The possible group decider between omg! and dNC takes place this Sunday, although the loser of this match will have to perform against nine to ensure the 2nd place spot.
• lastchance: After picking up a win, a draw and their first loss at the hands of esu.de last week, lastchance were handed a lifeline as esu.de apparantly pulled out of the Opencup following their loss to EFFKULT last night. This now means lastchance require a win in their wildcarded fixture against xstars to be sure of 2nd place in the group. If they achieve this the final fixture with EFFKULT determines 1st place.
• dNC: dNC have played extremely well so far this campaign, their non-serious approach seems to be paying off, with each of their 3 games so far ending in a win for the Irish (and Scottish) outfit. Arguably dNC's remaining 2 games are the hardest of the bunch, but the way things stand it looks like they could be heading into the next stage as long as they manage a win in either of their remaining games.
