The second set of matches on de_Aztec were played on Thursday in the CAL-I and due to the fact I have been away at UKT LAN you havent been updated with the goings on of the tournament (unless you have been reading other news sites but god knows why you would do that). The majority of games went smoothly and were a substantial amount closer than seen in the last two sets of matches. However, as it seems to be the trend lately there was yet more controversy in the match which saw Echo7 taking on TAU. E7 won the match but were given a 12-0 in the 2nd half due to TAU breaking the rules. Here is the official word from CPL|Chris:Forfeit for second half given to Echo 7 due to manual reboot of server through control panel of TAU's personal Gamedaemons server. This information is only given to hosting team, which makes them responsible for that information, including abuse. This being one of the last things the CAL-I needed after the last few weeks have been plagued with rule violations and punishments. There was much debate over what exactly happened to the server, so much so Spiffman wrote an article over on gotFrag, go check it out. The rest of the games were played without incident and here are the scores:

Like buying in ecos, running and getting told off for not walking, not preparing tactics as T until 20 seconds of the round has gone, playing public server style a fair ammount of the time...
Just seems wierd they don't take it as seriously as it is in Europe, when they're supposedly playing at the same level. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
