• Russian clan M19 have won the first ClanBase Euro Cup VII qualifier match to gain themselves entry into the tournament. M19 were up against fellow Russians CyberFight in a tough match on inferno and nuke. The game finished 25 – 23 in M19’s favour. Tonight more qualifier games are due to take place. Here are the matches:

  Ev. Dream vs. Intensity

• Keeping with Clanbase, they announced the information for the Spring 2003 open cup, which is due to kick off soon. Here is the info:

  A total of 1072 clans will be invited to participate in this season of the ClanBase Open Cup. There will be 48 clans in division 1, while the last 1024 clans will get a shot at qualifying for division 2. The invitations will be announced on February the 8th after the EuroCup qualifiers have been played.

  The UK is in the same qualifying group as Ireland, France, Germany, Holland and Iceland. 256 clans are to be picked so we can expect to see a fair few clans representing the UK.

• Finally, the new version of AMX Mod, written by OLO the creator of Clanmod and CSGuard, has been released. AMX Mod is a Metamod server plug in which has numerous features such as: AdminMod's scripting capabilities, ClanMod's menus and StatsMe's event handling. The new version works on all HL mods and is even compatible with Steam's Counter-Strike 1.6 beta. Check out the official website.
