Clanbase Update

I thought I would give you a little update on the situation over at clanbase. As most of you know division 1 of the Fall 2002 open cup is over with UK's very own clan ONE coming in 2nd place. Here are the final rankings:
1 – Team Magic
2 – clanONE
3 – Knights Of Apocalypse
4 – highland
Division 2 has also been wrapped up with Armageddon winning over _W_ in the final 31-17. Here are the final rankings:

2 – _W_
3 – Arcy
4 – O_o -Diom.tb-
In the Nations cup Austria beat Norway 27-21 to book themselves a place in the final against either Germany or Sweden. The final for the female nations cup however has already been decided with France meeting Sweden to decide who will be the first ever winners of the cup. For all the information on the upcoming cups and the cups which are still in progress visit clanbase.

N.B. The signups for the Spring 2003 open cup have closed.

In other news related to Clanbase, the Eurocup organisers announced that they are teaming up with Drome10 for the Eurocup 7 finals which are due to take place from the 4th to the 6th of July. Here is the statement:

We are very pleased to announce that the ClanBase EuroCup7 finals will be held at the Drome10 LAN in the weekend of July 4-6. Drome is one of the oldest and best reputed LAN organisations in the Netherlands and together we're committed to make Drome10 a top event for competing players and visitors as well as the online community.

Drome10 is held in Hengelo (near the border with Germany) and will have space for about 1.500 participants. Registration has not started yet - naturally we will inform you when it does here on this page.

The 7th season of the ClanBase EuroCups and Open Cups starts February 10th.

11:57 27/1/2003		 div1 is better than div2... you have to qualify in your regional qualifier to get into div2 and then i presume top 2 or 4 clans go up into div1 from div2. Don't know about the Euro cup though.

13:42 27/1/2003		 Opencup would be good if the rules were actually followed, i think in only 1 of our 4 games in opencup div 2 one half was played on a foreign server and 1 half was played on ours, thats pretty poor, the admins are so biased its not even funny, added to the fact most of the other clans are total lamers and will do ANYTHING for a win. some clans get offered a place in the eurocup.

some clans get the chance to play off for the eurocup, normally clans from the same country play off, with the winner goin into the ec and the loser going into div1 opencup.

clans doing well from oc div2 last season get invited into div1 and the rest of us go into our regional qualifiers to play off for the spots in division 2.
