I'm quite sure most of you, if not some of you. Who here has heard of Steve Pank? Again I'm quite sure most of you, his work not only exceeds Capital FM but he used to also work for a radio station in Manchester. Regardliess, half of his set is based around his ability to phone people up and do a prank on them. It's not harmless and people with a sense of humour generally take it as a joke, even if they do not there are others who do find it funny and that it is what society call as entertainment. Obviously the QuakeNet Feds have no sense of humour, spending time after time on IRC on the internet must have had some affect on them. Now, I'm sorry but if one of the biggest (if not biggest, even in the world) radio stations in the UK are allowed to phone up the Joe Public and do a prank, then how does that make what cs.radio do as wrong? 	anon 02:16 25/12/2002	I run a radio station on quakenet (would rather not say which) and I have to take issue with something. Any pranks we have ever done have been pre-recorded, and we have then gained permission from the person on the phone to broadcast it. That's the legal way to do it. It was funny when they phoned up famous cs players etc but when they took random numbers from ppl in irc to call and prank that was just not funny and im sure if you were that person busy trying to get organised for xmas or somethign and you got prank called about something you wouldnt find it funny either. They cant really argue about the feds decision, the only dubious thing is why they didnt shut down other stations, I believe it may be because other stations only prank call people they know and dont take random numbers from the irc audience. 	Spacette 12:45 25/12/2002	The best prank call I heard on cs.radio was the one with wright from ies, who took the whole thing really well. That kind of call is what people from the gaming community can relate to. I think some of the other calls I heard were done badly and quite a few were embarassing to listen to. Some of the ones using famous people voices are really funny , there are plenty of them about so there is not really any need to phone random people up using them is probably more entertaining. 	MashtoN 16:28 26/12/2002	LOL cheers guys........i think The reason i was acting like a n00b, is because i was drunk. I just got back from an x-mas party to find the channel was purged. So being drunk i let my emotions go on irc which as i see now was a mistake as im never gonna live it down =(. The problem isnt actually with pranking....not at all the problem is with people spamming numbers in the channel, only then is it classed as phone terrror. However we were met half way and OZZY (ircop) re-opend cs.radio and said he doesnt mind us doing pranks, aslong as if any one posts a number in the channel we report it to him. This has been a major learning curve for us, and its only made us better ( i think any way).
