CS Female Nations Cup - Week 1 roundup

All of the games for week 1 of the first ever-female nations cup have been played. Here are the results:

Group A
Denmark 45 - 3 Austria
Russia 25 - 23 Portugal

A very good game played between Russia and Portugal, we can look forward to seeing more of these two teams in the coming weeks. Austria forfeited the whole of the 2nd map (de_nuke) versus Denmark due to ping problems.

Group B
The Netherlands 48 - 0 Ukraine
Norway 27 - 21 France

The Ukrainian team forfeited after a 1-hour delay and some complications with Internet and CD-keys.

Group C
Germany 45 - 3 Switzerland
Belgium 48 - 0 Finland

Germany outclassed the ladies from Switzerland in every sense in a very one-sided game whilst Belgium picked up a forfeit win from Finland.

Group D
Spain 29 - 19 United Kingdom
Sweden 41 - 7 Poland

Two nice games to watch in this group, which looks as though it may be a tough one to call. The United Kingdom were outdone by the Spanish ladies who pulled off excellent CT halves on both maps. The Sweden ladies look every bit as strong as their male counterparts with a nice win over the Polish ladies who are no push over.

On the whole the first week went smoothly and good luck to all the ladies in the second weeks matches. All the information on this cup can be found here.
