OMFG TEH HAX!!!1!!" well the qualifiers are nothing to do with the cpl, they can be organised by anyone with enough cash to send a team of five to Dallas, don't blame the CPL that only two organisations in europe took up that chance. wp VGA, wp team9. 	Dr_Evil` 02:51 1/12/2002	lol, get over the 'UK Qualifier' being won by a Swedish clan. tbh its team 9 who should be p*ed off, they had to play the likes of eol, sk and ocrarina.fi at their qualifier which was a better standard than Dallas will be. the come over to the UK to book their ticket beating some good clans on the way. best team won, well done to them. Like someone said the qualifiers are run not by the CPL but whoever can get the cash together to pay for the trip to Dallas. In the US there are loads of qualifiers cos its only an internal flight away. To send five people from Europe is going to cost a fair bit. Its s*ty but that the facts. If u check the comments on all of the items on this site you will see it is just one large "FLAME" (or should it be LAME) war. UK gaming scene would be stronger if people supported our better teams rather than actually having a go and trying to shoot them down. Look at ClanOne probably competing with I-eS for the number one spot as UK team. Thet didn't have such a good session yesterday and people already giving the crappy "you need practice" taunts, even though the players giving these comments are nowhere near as skilled as clanone. 	VGA 11:09 1/12/2002	Thanks for the excellent coverage on UKT again, it was a great day with our british clans given the chance to play against some of the best in Europe. We were not wrong in opening the event to europeans, our UK clans have to start playing against this type of competition if UK CS gaming is ever to seriously take on the world. Sujoy and I were talking with a few clans at the event, and we are thinking of running a monthly tournament for UK clans at a gaming centre. This should provide practice and experience of competitive lan gaming on independent PCs for the british clans and help prepare them for the hard battles against the better teams. All clans get at the moment is our 2 CPLs each year and 1 WCG. We could invite a Top team to each event to give the clans some "experience". Would this be of interest? Yes it's up to the organisation/lan centre/sponsors to front the cash for i-games were the company that organised the qualifiers in the first place. You could have easily have held another qualifier in Scandinavia and also Germany. End of the day it is obvious that The CPL would prefer more American clans at their events, but then hey it's all the Euros with sponsors for travel these days anyway... 	VGA 11:09 1/12/2002	Thanks for the excellent coverage on UKT again, it was a great day with our british clans given the chance to play against some of the best in Europe. We were not wrong in opening the event to europeans, our UK clans have to start playing against this type of competition if UK CS gaming is ever to seriously take on the world. Sujoy and I were talking with a few clans at the event, and we are thinking of running a monthly tournament for UK clans at a gaming centre. This should provide practice and experience of competitive lan gaming on independent PCs for the british clans and help prepare them for the hard battles against the better teams. All clans get at the moment is our 2 CPLs each year and 1 WCG. We could invite a Top team to each event to give the clans some "experience". Would this be of interest? Yes it's up to the organisation/lan centre/sponsors to front the cash for i-games were the company that organised the qualifiers in the first place. You could have easily have held another qualifier in Scandinavia and also Germany. End of the day it is obvious that The CPL would prefer more American clans at their events, but then hey it's all the Euros with sponsors for travel these days anyway...
