A quick update now on how league affairs over the pond are shaping up. More specifically, the CAL-I CS league, which has now reached the play-off stages. The action started last week when the teams were whittled down to the final eight, which produced the following results:Quarter-Finals (de_train)Last year's final was played between North America's two best known clans, 3D and zEx, both of whom were strong favourites to make this year's final too. WEW and Rival had other ideas though, and the semi-final match-ups were played out as follows:
- 3D 15 - 9 aoX
- zEx 13 - 3 [rs]
- WEW 17 - 7 DoP
- Rival 17 - 7 NEG
Semi-Finals (de_nuke)A couple of pretty major shocks there because, although WEW and Rival have been playing very well, no-one expected either 3D or zEx to lose.
- Rival 13 - 10 3D
- WEW 13 - 8 zEx
The final, between WEW and Rival, will be played on Thursday on de_dust2. You can find quick interviews with a Rival and WEW over on Domain of Games. Best of luck to both clans.

its funny watching the demos, but the standard is too low. there are many euro countries that have cs scenes easily competitve with the US, but none of the publicity. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
