Infinity-eSports Advance To Last 8

Infinity-eSports have just secured a convincing win over [:LnD:] from Canada, who are also last years champions.

The game began with Infinity-eSports as Counter-Terrorists and they won the pistol round in style and were expected to take the following two. However disaster struck as [:LnD:] rushed bombsite B and managed to take out Dan Lucking and use his gun to good effect. They won the round and I-eS had to eco the following two.

Infinity-eSports failed to settle as Counter-Terrorists as [:LnD:] repeatedly found holes in their defences and won the half 7 - 5.

However, Infinity-eSports refused to allow this first half defeat to get to em as they pulled [:LnD:]'s defence all over the map with distractions, dummies and grenades. They won the pistol round and the following few, with the Canadians only managing to secure one. In the 9th round Infinity-eSports won the game by claiming the all important 13th round. They played the next two with various guns such as paras, scouts etc and won them too. The final score was 11 - 1 to the UK Champs. This means the final score was 16 - 8 and Infinity-eSports advance to the last 8 of the competition, $1000 richer.

Their next game to my knowledge will be against Russian team m19 (on De_Inferno) who have put the jitters in many clans this tournament with various upsets especially with their recent victory of Belgium. The next game will take place at 12:30pm Korean time, around 6:30am UK time, so go boil another pot of coffee.
