DoP Counter-Strike Tournament

Top American clan, Domain of Pain, have started up their very own 1 vs. 1 Counter-Strike tournament and is now accepting registrations. There's a limit of 32 players and the registration fee is $20 USD per player, payable only through PayPal. The cash prizes will be distributed as follows (assuming 32 players sign up):

1st - $250
2nd - $120
3rd - $80
4th - $40
5th - $20

The tournament will start out as a round robin with groups of four, so everyone is guranteed at least three matches. After the round robin one person will advance from each group to enter into double elimination rounds for the remainder of the tournament. The tournament is scheduled to start at 12:00PM (noon) CST on Sunday, August 11 and finish on the same day. More information can be found here.

	iron 19:42 5/8/2002	not really..also PHB, config enforced is fair enough, what about ppl who use soundpacks where the noise which is made when ur shot, changes to a scream, which can be hear around the whole map, which can give players a MASSIVE advantage, how can u police things like that? 	PHB 23:35 5/8/2002	You can enforce default models and sounds through a HL cmd as I remember. Also you seem to be making an argument againist online cheating as a whole, personally if I ran a league I would insist that every single team member opens up their PC to a FTP or whathave search before the game starts. Basically you have to make it so much effort for the cheats to work for the cheater that they wouldn't care anymore [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
	Keefe 00:57 6/8/2002	cs isnt a 1v1 game, and since theres no monsy settings i can see in the cfg, whovoer wins the pistols is gunna have a massive advantage. the maps look decent tho, makes a change from feighters which imo tells you nothing about aim, just about who's spent the most time on it ;) [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
