Intel CPL Event Interview

Adrenaline Vault have interviewed Gabriel Achanzar, Intel's gaming program manager in regard to their participation as major sponsors of the CPL Summer Championship as well as their future plans for revolutionising gaming. Here's an example:

AV: It's tempting to ask the easy question at the outset of this interview: What interested Intel in becoming a sponsor of the CPL? But I am more interested in if Intel feels it's accomplishing the goals of its sponsorship.

Gabriel: The Cyberathlete Professional League has been making great progress toward increasing the visibility of PC gaming as sport. As in any other sport, you need the best equipment to gain a competitive advantage. Professional cyberathletes need to have total faith and trust in their equipment so they can be focused on the game. Intel recognized that the needs of the cyberathlete matched perfectly with the performance and reliability provided by the Pentium 4 processor.

It's a decent read, spanning three pages and going into quite some detail.
