It has recently been discovered that the hardware manufacturer ECS has released video card drivers, for their Xabre line of video cards, that allow users to see through walls and alter other settings that make it possible to cheat in 3D games.These drivers essentially provide a hardware wallhack. Screenshots from the ECS AG400 SiS Xabre 400 show this "Transparent Mode" in action. There has been a petition setup to remove the offending drivers, and should anyone want to 'contact' the manufacturer the contact details can be found on the ECS website.
***UPDATE***
After the extensive news coverage of this "Transparent Mode" it seems that ECS have bowed to the pressure and will be removing this feature:
I have received an email from a representative of ECS saying that they will remove the transparency "feature" from their production model drivers and will work to remove the drivers from any sites that currently have them. The drivers in the review, which were drivers for samples distributed to reviewers, will be modified to not include the transparency feature in the production model video card. They have apologized for harming the gaming community in any way and were very nice about the whole affair.
