CS Crossfire version 3 is up running at Counter-strike.net. Quite simply: "Read, Write, Rant". There are already some quite controversial articles up, so take a look if you want to be part of the debate. Here's a sample:I share a sense of compassion for any family that has to go through such hard times as when a child dies. But I am alarmed at how quickly the Counter-Strike community has seemingly placed n0th1ng on a pedestal, pushing him towards apotheosis.It is quite troubling to see such a large amount of the Counter-Strike community engaging in the frighteningly macabre practice of deifying someone who has committed suicide. No one can change the fact that DeJong's death was in vain, but it does no honor to his memory to engage in "7 gun salutes" on his various maps. In fact, by performing such acts, people are giving credence to his ultimate decision to kill himself. Holding up n0th1ng as a martyr only reinforces his sad determination that he had reached the zenith of his life; that there was nowhere to go but down.
