According to Beton from NoCheat, there is a bug in the Linux version of Valve Anti-Cheat that can cause it to stop functioning. The specific cause of this bug is not yet known, but the results are somewhat worrisome. Below is Beton’s email, with all the info:VAC works fine after a Server restart but stops working 1-2 maps later.Lets hope they fix it soon.Only happens on Linux and afaik on ALL Linux Server
Server still shows "secure" but is not detecting any cheats
there are no signs of this bug, no logentries, nothing can cause or stop the bug, no plugins, no cvars.
I wrote an email to Valve 5 days ago after examinig all posiblities of what could happen.
They answered immediately and hooked me up with Matt the AC-guy. We worked a little on it and I send him all cfgs, logs and more. They are working on a fix and they will let me/us know soon.
All Linux-Server seem to be affected, "status" still shows "secure", only temporary fix is a server restart (helps 1-2 maps), there is nothing you can do about it at the moment! If you want to play "secure" you have to use win server at the moment or restart your server right before a Clanwar!
