rG Withdraw From CB Eurocup Finals

Dutch clan, Regeneration, have announced over on their site that they'll be unable to attend the upcoming Clanbase Eurocup V LAN Finals, due to player shortage. Here's the official statement:

"Sadly we have to announce that we can't participate in the CS EuroCup V final anymore. On the EuroCup V LAN date 2 of our members, spacey and kainie, are on vacation. Those two members are currently inactive as well.
This on it's own wasn't a big disaster. But recently we got to know madb was not allowed to play this match. For the last 3 months we had a team of 7 players. Since 2 of our players are inactive and on vacation on these dates madb was our last hope. Too bad Clanbase was not willingly to bend the rules a little bit like they did with other clans, for example matrix and iddqd.
Our only other option is to a direct forfeit of this match because we just can't field a team without madb. We are verry sorry and dissapointed that it has to be this way. Especially since we already had plans to practise at our sponsored LAN cafe where the LAN finals will take place as well. We would like to apologize to Clanbase and the people who would like to see us play there.
Good luck to the other teams and we hope the event will be a success."

Seems like a bit of a shame really...good luck to rG in the future, and good luck to the clans attending the LAN finals.

If rG REALLY wanted to attend the LAN theres no doubt 1 of those 2 would go. I think they are just afraid of getting beaten badly and losing the repuatation they have now as a possibly emerging clan. So people who have prebooked holidays, probably quite expensive with family or friends are supposed to throw that money away (too late to claim a refund) so they can go to a lan for a weekend?
