Even Faster BY Cable

This just caught my eye and should qualify as newsworthy. It seems that Blueyonder are now offering 1mb cable connections. The new service costs £10 per month more than standard 512k cable, meaning that its £35 for users who also subscribe to their TV/Phone services.

For more information or to upgrade check this out. Should be good news for gamers who complain that the UK is way behind other European countries with regards to broadband rollout.

	Swaino 19:53 17/6/2002	I've been part of Blueyonder's 1MB line trial for the past 6weeks. No need to get too excited, it doesnt really effect online games at all. It does improve download and upload speeds which is useful but not really worth an extra tenner a month The trial has now finished and im back down to 512 but i wont be making an upgrade to 1meg, it aint worth it Swaino [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
	shads theb0g 20:11 17/6/2002	i'm happy with 512 download, that's all you need, it's just the crap upload that causes problems and increasing the upload is the only thing that might help gaming in the slightest on these connections, so i'll be trying to get it for 256k (still not great, but better than 128 :/) [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
