Another interview with Angel Munoz, the man behind the CPL has popped up. This time by Groove Games based in Singapore.Q: With sponsorships over 40 million dollars, are you guys going to set up offices internationally? Do you plan to cover more of Asia, perhaps set up a regional office to organize regular CPL events?Read the full interview on their site.A: Regardless of sponsorships or investments our plan has always been to do one major event in Asia in fall 2003 and two in 2004. We will announce the event details later this year.
Q: Last question, Have you ever taken part in any tournaments incognito perhaps just to check out the electricity of excitement that your events generate?
A: The CPL organizing staff is composed primarily of hardcore gamers and we all enjoy the adrenaline rush of a good competition. Earlier this year I was joining some public servers anonymously to enjoy some Q3 one-on-one and free-for-all matches. This ended for me when someone checked my IP, did a reverse DNS and realized who I was, then everyone wanted to play me. Some free-for-all matches ended up being four or five guys against me, this got a bit too challenging and it ended up not being so much fun. I was also getting quite bored with Q3 anyway, so I haven't played a multiplayer game in about four months.
