Straight from the VGA website once again:Registration is now open. Please visit this page to register your team. Only the team captain needs to submit this form. Note that after registering your team details you will be asked to send a cheque for the £50 entrance fee to the VGA. Most qualifiers are limited to 8 teams to ensure the one-day tournament runs smoothly so please send your cheques in quickly to avoid disappointment - teams are confirmed in the order that cheques are received in the mail. The following VGA centres along with the dates of their regional qualifier are listed below.A team of up to 6 players can be registered, with any 5 playing at any one time. There is a £50 registration fee per team and this must be sent to the VGA immediately after registration and venue selection. Priority to venue will be given based upon a first come first served basis of the registration fee.
Also Clan leaders will need to register a user account on this website as part of the registration process. New usernames can be registered on this page.
A full set of rules will be published within the next few days. However, we will be adhering to the guidelines provided by iGames and the CPL to ensure consistency wherever possible.

Even tough NiP were obviously the better team overall, x3 had a great chance on nuke because it was their best map, if you watch them on train they were nowhere near as good, and they got a second chance, which they deserved [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Now they want to go to dallas to represent the UK...make your minds up!
If you guys had of been in the 'UK' for the nations cup, with players like Timo and Ajam, the UK team could have been so much stronger... =/ [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Republic of Ireland is not part of the UK
The UK is the United Kingdom
Secondly there is no "UK qual" just for the UK.
There is qualifer held in the UK which any clan from anywhere can attend.
If NiP wish to come down to play they can do so, as 3D could also.
The only thing the qual can do is not give a bye afaik, which is totally allowed. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Any team that hasn't yet qualified can qualify anywhere, its a great system, it even gives teams from madagascar a chance to qual :) [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

You see, in ireland, we have two airlines, ones s***ty and cheap, ones s***tys expensive but flys outside the EU.
So to get to dallas you'd need to get a flight with the expensive one, which works out to roughy 1000, depending on the way you fly.
so thats 1000*6, then you have hotel costs for 3 days, which is about 300 quid, assuming you share, then you add in food, which is about 200, then theres the fact you have to qualify, which you may not, resulting in a trip home after 1 game.
So personally I'd go with the UK quals but if you want just pay mag8 over to the CPL dallas :) [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

However The Playing Fields was in charge of UK & IRE for CPL Europe. It isn't as simple as saying oh don't let .dNC play kus they ain't UK. With CPL Europe the UK/IRE situation is a mess for Quake and CS as ppl who know will find out. It hasn't been addressed properly for the last 2-3 years.
I seem to recall when there wasn't going to be any qualifier in UK that you guys were prepared to come to dublin and there was no posts saying you couldn't come. I don't think IRE can exclude UK teams from any of our qualifiers as the UK/IRE is still seen as one for the CPL. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

'Yes our original idea was to make this a UK-only qualifier'
It was there original idea, but because you are good on lan, he has chosen to think about wheter to let you play or not.
I think Sujoy is on your side atm... [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
