Nordic Division will have to wait to see who they face in the CPL Cologne 2002 final, after a thrilling loser bracket final match up between aAa and SK.sca on de_cbble.Starting as CT, aAa got off to a great start, winning the half 9-3 which meant they only needed 4 rounds from their terrorist side of the map. Things were looking even more promising as they rushed into a 3-0 lead to take the overall score to 12-3 in their favour which, of course, left them with the 'easy' task of winning one more round to seal the match.
SK.sca had other ideas, however, and went on to win the remaining 9 rounds to take the match into overtime...a great performance on their part. This forced the match into overtime, meaning each side will take a turn as T, then CT, for 3 rounds to decide the winner.
The overtime is starting soon....we'll keep you updated.
UPDATE: It took four overtime sessions to separate them, but *aAa* are through to meet ND in the championship final!
In what was an amazing match, *aAa* finally came out on top, winning 25-23 (9-3, 3-9, 2-1, 1-2, 3-0, 0-3, 3-0, 0-3, 3-0, 1-2).
