CPL Cologne - Play-Off Latest

The play-off stages of the CPL Cologne 2002 are now underway, with some of the big names missing. Amongst the surprise fallers at the group stage of the tourney were mTw (#2), SoA (#1), Afterlife (#8) and BoomTown (#6), all of whom gave up their play-off place with defeats to lower seeded clans (GoodGames, Faculty, aAa, and Mousesports, respectively).

The teams that did make it through to the last eight were Nordic Division, Deutschlands Kranke Horde, Schroet Kommando.sca, Schroet Kommando.de, Faculty, Good Games, Mousesports, and Against All Authority. The results from the first round of matches in the winners bracket turned out as follows:

• DkH 2 - 13 SK.sca
• ND 13 - 5 mouz
• SK.de 17 - 19 GoodGame (After overtime)

With the four losing teams relegated to the loser bracket, and the four winners progressing to the next stage of the winner bracket, they also managed to get the next round of matches played. They turned out as follows:

Winner Bracket

• SK.sca 13 - 6 *aAa* (de_dust2)
• ND 13 - 2 GoodGame (de_dust2)

Loser Bracket

• n!faculty 9 - 13 DkH (de_dust2)
• mouz 17 - 19 SK.de (de_dust2) (After overtime)

So it's down to 6 teams now; ND and SK.sca in the winner bracket, with GG, aAa, DkH and SK.de in the loser bracket, good luck to them all.
