Death of OGC?

With the release of Valve's anti-cheat round the corner, the question on everyone's minds is can CS be cheat free? CSNation send word that Valve has begun secret testing of their new module and that it detects all versions of OGC.

"Once released, the anti-cheat update will automatically be downloaded to servers and possibly clients."

To some this may sound too good to be true but it may become a reality. Let's just hope it stays cheat free for a long long time.

	EvilCartman 19:46 12/5/2002	Yeh, i'd imagine it's pretty impossible to totally stop cheats being made, but as long as valve keep pace with their anti cheat it should'nt be too much of a problem. 	-m0o.Rob- 11:48 13/5/2002	tbh i think valve wanted to avoid the deadlock that comes from "stop cheat" "anti-cheat hacked" situation, where the hackers do it merely to prove they can, or just because valve attempted to stop it. Whoever does hack it gets the reputation and infamy throughout the 'cs community' so I think it will be attacked with vigour. The only way to stop such a deadlock is to update the system daily or every few days so the cheaters have no time to work let alone distrobute the cheat. [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
