Linux Anti-Cheat Problems

Posted by Blitz at 10:50 3/5/2002.

It seems Valve have activated their anti-cheat software, and Linux users are suffering as a result. Apparently, lots of people who are running Counter-Strike on Linux, via WineX (a windows compatability environment), are being kicked off servers by the anti-cheat software.

Linux users amongst us need not worry though, Valve say that the problem was 'unexpected' but they are 'looking into it'. For those of you interested in more information, check out this forum thread. (Cheers to Weejoker for the heads up)
