CPL Europe 2002 Event

CPL Europe have announced that the first major event of 2002 will take place in the congress centre of the Maritim Hotel Cologne, Germany from 17th to 19th of May. The event will feature two tournaments - Counterstrike 5on5 and Quake3 4on4.

For the first time there will be no BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) Area available on the event, indicating CPL Europe's intention to focus on the official tournaments only. Registration opens March 24th.

Hopefully the new TPf will be up in time to host a quals for CPL Dallas in the summer. Also, with this CPL being 18+ only, there will be no NiP, woooo others have a chance! 	iron 16:22 19/3/2002	im assuming theres not be quals newhere if theres none of the UK? otherwise thats simply not fair and something the CPL will have to look into, im sure theres plenty of capable places such a thing could be held nehow. i also think i-es will probably be the only UK clan to attend, and that alot of other clans wont be able to go becuase of the age limit :/ [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
	DArtagnan Infinity-eSports 16:43 19/3/2002	Griff is looking for a UK qualifier, but CPL doesnt provide the money for the Quals, the Qualifying centre needs to find the sponsors which would pay for the trip of the winning team to the event, the autoberth is provided by the CPL meaning they dont have to pay to enter the tournament. So they need to find a qualifying centre which can provide the money, or find the sponsorship. Anyway, how many good teams are there in the uk that are 18+? [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
