The more eagle eyed readers (probably everyone) amongst you will have picked up on the significance two earlier news posts have on each other. CS: CZ has been delayed until Quarter 2 this year, but it's supposedly going to be the main game at this summer's CPL event....obviously this wouldn't be plausible if CS: CZ was to be released just before the CPL event in July. Players would need time to adjust to the new game, weapons, maps and so on.I noticed the following bit of info, on that very topic, over on DoG:
"Q: When will CS:CZ come out? We need time to prepare!So there you have it....by the looks of things CS: CZ hasn't been delayed for long. Unless, of course, The CPL were mis-informed and there isn't actually much chance that CS: CZ will headline the summer event (I doubt that).Angel (Munoz): We did not make this decison lightly and most people have apparently already forgotten that our former commissioner, Mike Wardwell, is on the developing team of CS:CZ and that the president of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, is one of the most active board members of the CPL.
Angel also said that if CS:CZ is not out by May 6th, then The CPL will use CS 1.4. That is 2 months, which should give everyone plenty of time.
