Mapper Interviews

• Rizzuh sends word that CSNation have posted up an interview with CS mapper, Barney. Barney's better known maps include de_aztec, de_inferno, cs_thunder, and de_vertigo. The interview is split into sections and talks about barney's world, mapping, the CPL, working at Gearbox Software, and his new map:

  CS-Nation: What's your new map about?

  Barney: The map is set in a de-commissioned ex cold war soviet arms store. The plot is basically Terrorist have seized 2 nuclear warheads from a 3rd world nuclear power and set them up within the complex with the intent of detonating them and causing instability within the super-powers

• Brig, over on the B-F Gaming Network, has also interviewed GlenC, author of cs_italy, one of the most popular CS maps on the rotation:

  If there was a map out there already that you wish you had made yourself, which map would it be and why?

  GlenC: De_torn. Much of what was accomplished in Torn - visually, environment, feel, etc - I felt like I had wanted to accomplish in Italy, but didn’t quite get it. I look down the streets in Torn and think “That’s what Italy was supposed to be like.”
