Counter-Strike.net Update

Cliffe has updated cs.net with a little news. First up, he announced that they've released a CS missing map pack for those of you that own the retail version of CS. It weighs in at 13MBs and will provide all the maps that the mod version owners have, whilst retail owners won't (as_tundra, cs_estate, de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_vegas, de_vertigo).

In other news, he talks about what he and Goose are upto at the moment, and also gives a little 1.4 info:

"Gooseman and I are out here at Valve working with Eric Smith and company on 1.4, among other things. Macman and Ido have a new map coming and we're currently testing a way to thwart bunnyhoppers. No date is set for 1.4, but one of the more exciting aspects of it will be Valve's new anti-cheating initiative -- which is scheduled to come out around the same time."

It's good to hear a little update of how things are coming along, and also good to hear about Valve's anti-cheat technology, let's hope it does the job.

NOTE: CSN point out that Cliffe is referring to constant jumping, and NOT the speed bunnyhopping that was fixed in the previous release. Rizzuh also let us know that they've updated their CS Info section with bits 'n' bobs.
