ELSA Primary Strike 2002

Today LanArena announced their first major tournament of the new year. The tournament, titled 'Primary Strike', is set to be a 64 clan tournament across 2 Lanarena's on 3 different dates. The tournament will be structured along the lines of two qualifiers in group stages to be held at both the Maidenhead & Nottingham venus, followed by a final knockout tournament to be held at the Maidenhead venue.

The two qualifiers will consist of 8 groups of 4 clans battling it out, with the top clan of each group qualifying for the finals in Maidenhead. The finals will be a straight knockout affair of the 16 clans that qualified from the group stages.

The provisional dates for this tournament are as follows:

Saturday February 2nd - Maidenhead - Qualifier 1
Saturday February 9th - Nottingham - Qualifier 2
Saturday February 23rd - Maidenhead - Finals

ELSA Primary Strike 2002, in association with UKterrorist, can be expected to build upon last year's tournaments and attract the top clans. The winning clan can expect to take home prizes in the region of geforce 3 ti's & a substantial amount of money.

	LA\|DunkZ 14:59 29/12/2001	Maidenhead was our fist choice of venue due to the facilitys (which are ideal for a tourny) and that the stsff there really know their stuff. Nottingham was also chosen due to its location and the large staging area. WCG qualifers were also held there. As for prize money, were looking at around £500. 	WCG\|Kengbo 23:14 29/12/2001	Got to agree with Dunkz on this, MH is an ideal venue for a tourney, but (as always) it has it's flaws. Firstly, it is cool, a bit too cool there. It could be just me as I am really skinny! Second and most important, the machines. When the UK WCG Q3A Finals took place there a couple of months, the machines were running pretty good. I went there the other day and the machine I played on was bad. It took longer than normal to join a game of CS and my fps went down to 45 in a fire fight. I would get those machines sorted quick time before the tournament Dunkz, cos if you don't you will have complants. Also, one other thing, you allowing spectators there? Cos I might be popping down to London near that time and might be able to pop in for a quick look-see and if you are lucky, I might give you a hand! [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

Dunkz CAN arrange a tourney and U cant . I was a referee at WCG Q3A Finals and the reason the PC's were fecked is coz of the lame ass n00bs using the pc's and putting there cinfigs in autoexec and s***e like that. Er 45fps in a friefight??? is u stupid??? the more things u have in your screen the more the fps is gonna lower!!! OMG and anyway i play there at least 3 to 4 times a week and have hardly had problems with the pc's there U just SuX0rs Kengbo. GET a life...
