The Return of Punkbuster?

A recent news item on the Punkbuster website suggests the possible development of a new anti-cheat program:
We have been working hard on some very exciting new things and hopefully will be able to announce some of them soon. The PunkBuster project has been and still is a tremendous success thanks to the support of all of our users and admins. The new direction we are moving in promises to bring new levels of cheat-free play in online gaming.

08:14 26/12/2001		 Who cares what punkbuster do now, they won't be developing any anti-cheat for counter-strike. The most effective thing punkbuster did to stop cheating was packing up and letting paladin be born. Yea PB started the development of anti-cheat programs but they aren't needed in CS anymore. Paladins first public release is already much more advanced than the last Punkbuster was. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
