CPL Worlds Latest

As the WCG comes to an end, the CPL World Championships are just getting into the good stuff. The upper bracket mainly consists of Euro clans with six of the final eight teams being European (NiP, Four Kings, mTw.GoL, aT, Infernum, SK). Perhaps predictably, the other 2 teams are X3 and DoP, America's top two clans.
Four Kings are looking in very good shape since progressing to the upper bracket...they've beaten AEI 13-4, and then had a great victory over #9 seeds, Weekend Warriors, winning the first round 10-2, then starting the second half off 3-5 to take the match.

Unfortunately for 4K, they now face the might of NiP. NiP beat TRU 13-1, and then squeezed past RDW 13-10 to make it to the quarter finals of the upper bracket. The quarter finals of the upper bracket are as follows:

• NiP vs Four Kings
  
• mTw vs aT
  
• Infernum vs Schroet Kommando
  
• DoP vs X3

Infernum (#19) are looking strong after beating XCP (#14) and then SoA (#3), but mTw also stand out after winning both their last matches 13-0 (vs UGP, TSO). X3 and DoP can't be counted out though, after both came through their last matches with great ease. It'll be interesting to see how they fair against some Euro clans, though.

Europe's threat in the lower bracket comes from SoA, but it certainly won't be easy as they're in there with some top US clans. For full coverage of the event see the links below:
