A news article has been put up over on the BBC website entitled 'Computer gamers gather global audience'. The article focuses on how spectator software (HLTV anyone?) can bring gaming to the wider audience."The Cyberathlete Professional League is also planning to use it to take the matches from its world championship in December to a wider audience. Up to 25,000 people could be watching the gamers shoot it out for the top prize of $150,000 (£105,000)."
It's no surprise to find that the piece mainly covers Counter-Strike and includes quotes from Doug Lombardi (Valve) and our very own UKT site founder, Appz. It's fairly short but I'm sure you'll want to check it out.
