That's the latest news from the Valve team according to the notice that was sent out to on the HLDS mailing list, and great news it is. Not much to go on at this stage but the main thing is they've finally decided to do something about the poor state that cheats have left HL/CS online gaming in.
I guess they've realised what many people have been saying for months and have finally decided to take some real action, rather than relying on patches to fix cheats for short periods only.
What this will mean for other HL anti-cheat software that's in development (such as Game Guard), only time will tell.
