PunkBuster have posted a short news snippet concerning the transfer of their patent and source code (amoungst other things):"Source code, Copyright and Patent rights of the PunkBuster project have been transferred to Even Balance, Inc. The November 2001 issue of Computer Gaming World has published PunkBuster on its cover CD with other Half-Life utilities and mods. They have also contacted us about doing a piece related to PunkBuster and our Anti-Cheat effort in a future issue. We hope to have news about this and our other efforts very soon."
