Games Domain have written up what they call a 'CS: CZ Pipeline Preview'. Obviously the preview goes over what we can expect to see when this game is released, but they also have some input from Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, who are developing the title:"Gearbox, however, has invested time in upgrading the engine in a number of cool ways, he said."First of all, we've done a lot of work with the model rendering so that we can now support things like alpha blending in model textures and level of detail for performance gains," Pitchford said. "We've also done some work to expose more special effects features and this pays off in the new materials system, new environment effects and lots of new feedback effects." "
